Nova Scotia Works Online Services Platform

Nova Scotia Works Online Services Platform

With the emergence of the COVID-19 global pandemic in early 2020, digital service delivery in employment services became essential. Nova Scotia met this challenge quickly by launching Nova Scotia Works Online in November of the same year. The Digital Services platform enables staff to render support and services digitally to all clients in Nova Scotia through the Nova Scotia Works Online portal.

NSCDA, with the support of Employment Nova Scotia and industry partners, designed and delivered training to over 300 staff members of Nova Scotia Works centres across the province. A nine-lesson learning plan was released covering the core features and self-serve options available to staff and clients through the Nova Scotia Works Online site.

As Nova Scotia Works Online is a service which is constantly growing and adding new features, training development remains ongoing and will see continuous parallel development in 2021, beginning with the release of digital client self-intake functionality, and Labour Market Information resources in Q1 2021.
