Ubuntu Giving Fund and Helping Hands Community Fund

Ubuntu Giving Fund and Helping Hands Community Fund

The NDIC developed two funds to support marginalized communities in Nova Scotia, which will be introduced in 2022.

The Helping Hands Community Fund is an event-based fund of $10,000 to be divided at varying amounts amongst a variety of groups within Nova Scotia. This fund supports small, grassroots organizations in need of resources to help grow influence within their communities.

The Ubuntu Giving Fund provides financial support for organizations with larger capacities and reach that are working on new or existing projects or initiatives within their communities. This program will provide $40,000 to be divided at varying amounts amongst organizations throughout Nova Scotia.
