Youth Employability Skills learning plan

Youth Employability Skills learning plan

The Youth Employability Skills project supports the NS Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration’s Youth Initiatives program. This project supports student summer employees and employers, as well as Nova Scotia Works centres involved with funded summer students in 2022.

The NSCDA has developed a learning plan to address and elevate a summer student’s employability skills and comfort in four key areas identified by employers participating in the program.

The four key skill areas of focus include:

  • Communication
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Time management
  • Problem-solving

Moving forward, we will add accountability, adaptability, and presentation skills courses to the learning plan.
