Elevating Career Development

The Nova Scotia Career Development Association (NSCDA) is proud to continue its partnerships to deliver high-quality training that strengthens the career development industry. Through innovative projects and collaborations, we ensure that career professionals and industry stakeholders have access to the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an evolving workforce.

Our ongoing initiatives include:

  • Workforce Development Project: In partnership with the Department of Opportunities and Social Development, we’re highlighting the significant changes within the disability sector and the vital role of Disability Support Workers. This project supports the evolving needs of this critical workforce and ensures they are equipped to navigate sectoral changes effectively.
  • Microcredentials for Industry-Driven Skills: These microcredential programs focus on competency-based assessments to certify specific skills that align with industry demands. Learners gain recognized certifications that validate their expertise and readiness to excel in key roles.
  • Nova Scotia Works Training for Career Professionals: We provide comprehensive training for career professionals, covering topics such as Case Management, School Liaisons, Employer Engagement, and much more. These programs equip professionals with the tools they need to support job seekers and employers effectively.

“High Five!”

“I am not sure who to “high-five” regarding the new style and format for the SL onboarding modules- perhaps this style has been around a while – but its so awesome! Well done. I feel much more engaged than I did with previous trainings! Just wanted to share some positive feedback!”

“Connection!”

“I appreciated the opportunity to connect with people from other organizations from all around the province. The in-person gatherings provided time meet with others in a more personal manner and provided time to refresh, reflect and grow.”
